For fleets, OEMs and test programs
Driveaway: a driver instead of a truck
When the vehicle can drive, we send a professional driver instead of a truck, for a fraction of the cost.

How driveaway works
If the vehicle is road-legal, a professional driver can take it straight to its destination. It usually costs much less than a truck. The drivers come from a driveaway partner we work with, but you still deal with us.
When it fits
- 1Fleet repositioning between states
- 2Mapping and test cars going back to the plant
- 3Several units moving at once
- 4Any road-legal, registered vehicle
Driver or truck?
If the vehicle can't be driven, or shouldn't add miles, it goes in a trailer. Compare all three methods.
| Driver (driveaway) | Enclosed truck | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Road-legal vehicles and fleet repositioning | Robotaxis, prototypes, luxury, exotic and collector cars |
| Protection | Driven on the road; adds miles | Fully covered from weather and road debris |
| Non-running? | No, it must be drivable | Yes |
| Relative cost | Usually the lowest on long moves | Highest |

How a move works
- 1Tell us what needs to moveText us, call, or use the form: what it is, where it's going and when. If you already have an agreement with us, a text is enough.
- 2Get it in writingWe send you the truck, a photo of the driver and the price, in writing. You decide from there.
- 3One person keeps you postedThe same person keeps you updated until it's delivered. If the ETA changes, we tell you before you have to ask.
- 4Signed deliveryAt pickup and again at delivery, the driver inspects the vehicle with you or someone you send. The condition goes on the Bill of Lading and both sides sign.
Not sure which service fits? Ask us.
Tell us about the vehicle and the route, and we'll say if a driver or a truck makes more sense.
